Copying a GL Journal
The toolbar Copy Record only copies the current record and not records on any subtab. The common iDempiere practice for a deep copy is to perform the following:
Copy the header of an existing record
Save the newly created header
Click on the Process toolbar icon (gear) from the newly created header and choose the "Copy Details" process.
In the Copy Details process, find the old header with all the lines and press OK
This performs a deep copy from the old header to the new header.
This concept is the same for GL Journal, order, invoices, etc...
