The purpose of this post is to help you understand how iDempiere is licensed and what it means to your organization. iDempiere is licensed under the GPL V2 license. What does this mean to you as a:
- Implementor
- Tools provider
- Integrator
- Consumer/Organization
I recommend you read the below book. It does an amazing job of explaining the details and the potential impacts on your organization. At a minimum, you should read through chapter 8. Chapter 8 is the toughest, and you can skip to the Summary section if you wish.
